The surge in NFT market activity continues as Doodles sees nearly $1.1 million in daily sales ahead of its much-anticipated token airdrop.
Doodles, one of the top NFT collections, has recorded a dramatic 97% spike in sales volume over the past 24 hours, with total transactions topping $1.1 million, according to data from CryptoSlam. The sharp uptick in trading places Doodles third among all NFT projects for the day, trailing only DMarket and Courtyard NFTs.

The sales boom comes just days before the launch of Doodles’ DOOD token, scheduled for May 9. Over the past week, Doodles has accumulated $2.6 million in total sales—up 368% from the previous week—making it the fifth-highest performing NFT collection during that time.
Doodles first announced plans to release the DOOD memecoin on February 13, outlining a total supply of 10 billion tokens to be minted on the Solana blockchain, with a planned bridge to the Base network. The project emphasized a community-first approach to token distribution: 68% of the tokens will go to community members, including 30% for existing Doodles holders, 13% to the New Blood community, and 25% to fund the ecosystem.
Another 17% of the DOOD supply is earmarked for the team, while the company will retain 5%. These allocations are subject to a one-year cliff and a three-year vesting schedule. The remaining 10% of tokens will be reserved for liquidity purposes.
Doodles NFT holders are eligible to pre-register for an airdrop of the new token, with major exchanges including Binance and Bybit confirming they will list DOOD following the token generation event on May 9.
The broader NFT market has also experienced a notable boost, reaching $103 million in total sales over the past seven days—an increase of 7% from the week prior. Ethereum remains the leading network, with $26.5 million in NFT sales, followed by Polygon with $19.1 million, fueled largely by Courtyard’s $17 million in real-world asset-backed NFT transactions.
Other blockchains such as Mythos Chain and Bitcoin have also shown strength, recording $16 million and $12 million in sales, respectively.
