Digital authority Digital Dubai has used AI to roll out the city emirate’s first virtual Emirati family, as per an announcement by Dubai Media Office. To gauge the popularity of the members of the virtual family, a poll was conducted in which 14,000 people took a vote.
The update comes as multiple firms, startups, and regulatory bodies in Dubai start to integrate AI into their offerings to remain competitive, with some companies adopting a pure focus on artificial Intelligence.
The new creation was announced on X on Tuesday by Dubai Media Office as well.
Community members were invited to vote on their favourite names for the first official character in the Emirati family.
In the vote for the name of the first family member, “Latifa” was picked as the winning choice, accumulating 43% of the vote. The name “Mira” took second place with 29% and was followed by “Dubai” raking in 20% of the vote.
Digital Dubai was created in 2023
Digital Dubai was established in 2023. The government department launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, according to Digital Dubai’s official website.
