- Gala Games becomes the first foreign blockchain to partner with China’s Trusted Copyright Chain (TCC)
- All transactions between China and the global market will use GALA tokens, creating a sustainable cycle to burn supply and reward community pools
- Shrapnel’s move to GalaChain solidifies the strategy, integrating it with Chinese regulations and increasing GalaChain’s visibility in the gaming market
In a major step for Gala Games, GalaChain has partnered with China’s Trusted Copyright Chain (TCC), marking a historic breakthrough for foreign blockchain operations in the country. This collaboration enables GalaChain to facilitate access to China’s official global registry of licensed digital assets, giving GalaChain the opportunity to connect with over 600 million gamers in the world’s largest gaming market.
Previously, Chinese law restricted foreign blockchain operations, limiting their ability to register and trade digital assets in China. The Trusted Copyright Chain was the only government-approved network for these activities. Now, through this partnership, GalaChain will create a compliant bridge that allows international innovation to coexist with China’s strict regulatory framework. All transactions between global and Chinese players will be conducted in a compliant, open platform, free from violating data sovereignty and copyright laws.
GalaChain bridges international blockchain innovation to China
The unique aspect of this deal is the integration of GALA tokens into the transaction process. All cross-border transactions between China and the rest of the world will use GALA as gas fees, burning part of the token supply in the process. This creates a sustainable, self-reinforcing utility cycle. A real-time dashboard will showcase the burn and reward activity across the GalaChain ecosystem, giving users insights into the activity and its impact on the GALA token economy.
As the gaming industry in China grows and embraces GalaChain, the demand for GALA tokens will rise, potentially increasing the token’s price while lowering inflationary pressures. This shift connects GalaChain’s success to the thriving Chinese gaming market, creating an organic source of demand for GALA tokens.
Shrapnel migration bolsters GalaChain’s position
One of the most significant validations of this partnership came when Neon Machine announced the migration of its flagship game, Shrapnel, to GalaChain. This strategic move positions the game to operate within Chinese regulatory guidelines, unlocking new opportunities for the game’s players. The migration ensures Shrapnel can offer high-throughput, low-cost features that benefit both the developers and players.
Additionally, Shrapnel will integrate GalaChain’s ecosystem by committing at least 10% of its Chinese revenue to purchase SHRAP tokens on the network. This connection between Shrapnel’s financial performance and GalaChain strengthens the overall token economy.
Expanding community engagement through NFTs and rewards
To further foster community engagement, Gala Games is distributing a commemorative Bridge Badge NFT to Gala wallet holders and new Shrapnel participants. This badge provides early access to playtesting and is a symbol of the cross-border integration happening on GalaChain.
China-based influencers will also have the opportunity to send Invitation NFTs, which are traceable and redeemable for badge rewards, encouraging authentic community growth. The collaboration aims to expand the reach of GalaChain further, with plans to fully integrate the bridge by Q1 2026, making it accessible to individuals globally.
GalaChain’s collaboration with TCC sets the stage for international blockchain adoption under regulatory oversight, serving as a golden example of compliant blockchain deployment across borders.
