Barely a month after the crypto community converged in Dubai for Token 2049, Bitcoin enthusiasts are making their way towards Las Vegas for the Bitcoin 2025 conference. The 3-day event will take place at the Venetian Convention Centre from May 27 to May 29, and boasts of hosting 30,000 bitcoiners and $14 trillion plus worth of assets managed.
This year’s edition will see at least 5000 companies in attendance and a speakers and attendee list that includes— the Trump brothers to U.S. VP JD Vance, and a dozen other U.S. legislators, and industry experts who will take centre stage.
Interesting, Day 1 will have an exclusive Code + Country Industry Day experience, which will highlight breakthroughs in Bitcoin, AI, and energy that are now converging to drive the next wave of human progress. This will be followed by the America 250 VIP reception party—a chic poolside evening of high-impact networking and entertainment.
The first session will be kicked-off by Haider Rafique, of OKX who will talk about a thriving American economy with open & free markets at the Nakamoto Stage. YOu will also get to hear from Rep. Keith Ammon a 5-time representative from the State of New Hampshire, on how it became the 1st U.S. state with a Bitcoin Reserve.
The events will be spread across 7 stages— a developers zone, the deep VIP vault, mining stage, and the open source stage, among others. The afternoon session, on Bitcoin L2s: The Search for Native Yield, will be interesting to watch out for as Bitcoin Layer 2 (L2) and BTCfi ecosystems are a key theme of this edition. One can expect significant announcements regarding the first versions of BitVM2 bridges, which could unlock decentralized BTC use cases. Also, don’t miss out on the Q&A session with Startegy’s Michael Saylor, before you conclude day 1.
Day 2 will see sessions like Wealth Management & Estate Planning with Bitcoin as a unit of account and how California is transforming from a golden state to an orange state by embracing Bitcoin. A session on what’s next for bitcoin ETFs might catch your fancy.
