Ubisoft has partnered with Web3 gaming company Immutable to launch a blockchain-based game called Might and Magic: Fates. The collaboration is Ubisoft’s latest foray into the Web3 gaming space.

Experienced in the Web3 domain, Immutable has successfully launched blockchain-based titles such as Gods Unchained and Guild of Guardians.

Nicolas Pouard, Vice President of Ubisoft’s Strategic Innovation Lab, revealed more about the project in a statement

“As one of the most iconic franchises in strategy gaming, Might & Magic has a rich legacy that we’re thrilled to expand upon,” said Pouard. “This game will deliver a deep and rewarding experience for both long-time fans and new players alike, staying true to what has made the series special.”

Ubisoft, known for its trademark Assassin’s Creed series, is one of the few video game publishers that has decided to expand into Web3 gaming.

Might and Magic: Fates is a mobile-based game where players can customise and trade decks with hundreds of cards in an environment that is competitive and strategy-based. The game features faction-based strategy and new mechanics. Players advance by earning in-game currency and cards through gameplay. They will also be able to trade cards in certain regions through a marketplace developed by Immutable. It is free to play and will be launched on IOS and Android.
