This past week, FLock.io together with Alibaba Cloud’s Qwen and Base, brought together Web3 native developers from the SKYST consortium (Seoul National University, Korea University, Yonsei University, KAIST) and across Korea, for the Qwen Base SKYST Hackathon. The congregation successfully built innovative, real-world applications using FLock’s newly launched API platform, ushering in the exciting future of ethical DeAI development.
Participants built fully autonomous AI agents capable of consuming compute and data on-chain – with fully secure x402 micropayments enabled. The hackathon produced one of the world’s first end-to-end demonstrations of DeAI training, agent-to-agent commerce, and secure execution, running seamlessly in live applications. This is a major leap in establishing a new standard for privacy-preserving DeAI.
The finalist projects, announced on Saturday, 29th November 2025, covered critical applications such as secure AI agent firewalls, reputation layers, and AI-powered financial tools. These projects are the earliest documented global use-cases of the x402 standard at scale.
Here are the key takeaways:
- Infra402 (1st Place): Enabled instant resource rental and management using only a chatbot and wallet, powered by FLock.io’s API and x402 payments.
- BarrierX (2nd Place): A Zero-Trust Firewall designed for Secure AI Agents.
- Dignitas (3rd Place): A Reputation Layer for AI Agents, dubbed as ‘LinkedIn for AI Agents.’
“In under a week, developers in Korea built autonomous agents that can already pay each other, rent resources, defend themselves, and prove reputation, entirely on-chain without trusting any central provider. The future of the agent-to-agent economy just leaped from roadmap to reality!” said Jiahao Sun, CEO of FLock.io
FLock.io is a community-driven platform that combines federated learning and blockchain technology to create on-chain, decentralized AI models. Its incentive-aligned architecture allows data owners, compute providers, and AI engineers to collaborate securely without exposing raw data, ushering in a new era of privacy-preserving, democratized AI.
