Axiom employees implicated in insider trading scheme

An investigation by cyber-criminal investigator ZachXBT revealed that Axiom employees were supposedly engaging in insider trading practices, as per an official X post thread.

The update carries serious implications for one of the larger trading terminals in cryptocurrency markets.

Axiom was created in 2024 by founders Mist and Cal. Originally part of a Y Combinator’s Winter Batch, the company rose to become one of the most profitable in the space, earning hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue.

ZachXBT specifically accuses one employee at Axiom by the name of Broox Bauer who has been alleged to have been conducting illicit activity since the beginning of 2025. The popular investigator said the activity was very likely organized, showing proof of an excel sheet and a team meeting, in which valuable data was gathered to target specific Axiom users.

“The group created a Google Sheet compiling wallets for multiple KOL targets mapping out wallet addresses gathered from data obtained via the internal Axiom dashboard by Broox. Multiple KOLs named on the sheet or in leaked screenshots were contacted and independently confirmed the accuracy of wallet data attributed to them,” wrote ZachXBT on X.

Bauer also supposedly had help from two employees at Axiom to carry out this scheme, a moderator by the name of Gowno, who was recently hired and another employee called Ryan.

Axiom has publicly acknowledged the issue upon request by ZachXBT, which was shown in the thread, saying, “We are surprised and disappointed to hear that someone on our team abused internal customer support tools to look up user wallets,”

The company said in its official statement that it has removed access to the tools and will continue to investigate the matter, holding the “offending parties responsible”

The CEO of the company, Mist, has also put out an official post on X, saying the following below.
