Kraken, one of the world’s prominent cryptocurrency exchanges, announced on September 17, 2025, that it has entered into a strategic partnership with an affiliate of Circle Internet Group, Inc., the fintech company behind USDC and EURC stablecoins.

With this new collaboration, Kraken will enhance the utility of USDC and introduce support for EURC, Circle’s fully backed euro stablecoin. The agreement promises more liquidity, reduced conversion fees, and new opportunities to use Circle’s stablecoins across Kraken’s platform and its services.

Mark Greenberg, Kraken Global Head of Consumer Business, said, “Expanding support for Circle’s products isn’t about ticking boxes. It’s about embedding new opportunities to benefit from Circle-issued stablecoins into products our clients already use and trust.”

“We’re focused on building the world’s largest, most widely used stablecoin network and partnering with leading platforms like Kraken to drive new opportunities for on-chain finance,” said Kash Razzaghi, Circle’s Chief Commercial Officer, on the recent developments.

Why does this partnership matter?

Kraken has long offered strong liquidity in stablecoins for trading and payments. Now, customers will see lower conversion fees when dealing in USDC and EURC, and more efficient access to these stablecoins for on-chain applications.  Kraken notes that regulatory clarity has improved in many jurisdictions, helping drive trust and demand for stablecoins. As users increasingly rely on stablecoins for trading, payments, and decentralized finance, the infrastructure improvement is timely.

Both Kraken and Circle voice that stablecoins have become core infrastructure for the next evolution of financial services, especially if they are to be programmable, permissionless, and globally available. The partnership is meant to embed Circle’s stablecoins deeper into Kraken’s ecosystem so users can more easily deploy them.
