Online performance marketing firm SharpLink Gaming has announced a new hire, co-CEO Joseph Chalom, to the leadership ranks as per an X post on Friday.

“Chalom’s appointment marks a major milestone in our mission to build the most trusted Ethereum treasury and bring Ethereum to the center of global finance,” SharpLink Gaming’s X post read.

Chalom posted about his new position as well.

Joseph Chalom was formerly the head of Digital Assets Strategy at BlackRock. Both X accounts claimed that Chalom helped build three crypto investment products while at BlackRock: IBIT, ETHA, and BUIDL. IBIT and ETHA track the performance of Bitcoin and Ethereum, while BUIDL is a tokenised money market fund.

Chalom also worked as Chief Operating Officer for BlackRock Solutions, a segment of the business that provided financial advisory services and risk management solutions.

He brings over twenty years of experience in multiple leadership roles from BlackRock, according to his LinkedIn account.

“I am joining SharpLink because I see a powerful opportunity to help shape the future of financial infrastructure and decentralized finance,” said Joseph Chalom in an official press release.

SharpLink Gaming is now focused on accumulating Ethereum, currently holding approximately 360,807 ETH.
