Solana Mobile is gearing up to airdrop nearly two billion of its upcoming native SKR token on January 21. Of the total pile, the smartphone-making unit of Solana has decided to allocate over 141 million tokens to its 188 developers. Meanwhile, a total of Solana Seeker smartphone users will get over 1.8 million SRK tokens in the airdrop.

The airdrop will be initiated on January 21 at 2:00 AM UTC (6:00 AM GST time). The Solana Mobile platform has unveiled the allocation tracker for this airdrop to allow Seeker users and developers to check their “seed vault wallets” for airdrop updates.

“Check your allocations. Prepare some SOL for the claim. Get ready to stake,” the official handle of Solana Mobile informed its community.

The airdrop is part of Solana Mobile’s marketing strategies to create a hype for its second generation of the Seeker phone. This device will start hitting the shelves next week and will cost close to $500.

SKR will serve as the native token for Solana’s mobile ecosystem. Its total supply is capped at 10 billion tokens.
