Stablecoin company has rolled out a P2P tool called PearPass to help it manage cloud risks, as per an official press release.
The update comes after Tether made an unsuccessful bid to purchase shares in Italian professional football club Juventus.
The new tool is a solution that is an attempt to address the issue of potential issues attached to cloud infrastructure.
Tether is the largest stablecoin by market capitalization.
The official statement says that billions of login credentials have been leaked in major breaches over the past decade. PearPass is an open-source tool and is fully community-audited.
“Every major breach proves the same point: if your secrets live in the cloud, they’re not really yours,” said Tether’s CEO Paulo Ardoino.
