Elon Musk’s X is preparing to roll out a new feature called “Staterpacks” on the platform to ensure newer users are not met with empty feeds. Essentially, the feature will let entrants into the X ecosystem find accounts that post content of their interests, topics ranging from entertainment, and politics to chefs and crypto.
Nikita Bier, the head of product at X announced Starterpacks on Thursday. He said, “Over the last few months, we scoured the world for the top posters in every niche and country. We’ve compiled them into a new tool called Starterpacks: to help new users find the best accounts—big or small—for their interests.”
Bier asked the X community to comment with their topics of interests to make Starterpacks more elaborate in its offering.
Responding Bier, Coinbase commented with the word “crypto”, to which Bier reacted with screenshots of how the upcoming feature would look like, suggesting the accounts of key crypto players to follow.

This announcement comes at a time when crypto chatter has reportedly dwindled down on social media despite last year’s bull run. Many from the crypto community recently pointed posts mentioning Bitcoin have faded away from X compared to earlier.
Bier, in his announcement post however, did present crypto as a trending topic on X alongside technology, memes, and gaming.
Gauging by the comments under Bier’s post, topics like crypto, finance, investing, stock markets, product management, AI, art, fitness, and real estate are of interest. Bier has tried to share screenshots of curated accounts posting on all of these topics and more in an attempt to demonstrate how the Staterpacks feature would be executed.
As per Bier, the feature will be rolling out internationally in the coming weeks.
