Dubai is pacing up efforts to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) with government services. in a fresh development, the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) has launched the second edition of its “Future of AI in Government Services Accelerator” programme.

Under this initiative, global AI firms have been invited to pitch in advanced solutions that could upgrade the existing governance mechanisms in the Emirate. Over 20 government agencies have come onboard for this programme to assess the integration of AI with their services and ecosystems.

As per DCAI’s website, the initiative is focussed on two stragic objectives. These are — “enhancing the readiness of Dubai government agencies for the upcoming radical transformations in various sectors and presenting an exceptional global model for employing AI to develop government work.”

The Dubai government plans to create a dedicated team of AI experts in each of its unit. Once the AI firms have submitted their proposals, the DCAI will start the evaluation and testing of AI in government sectors.

In the coming months, the government here aims at launching at least 20 pilot projects with AI at the core. For this, the authorities are preparing to partner with 20 AI startups.

The training of at least 1,000 government employees in the use of AI to spike up their productivity by 20 percent is also part of the agenda, the DCAI said.

The Dubai Future Accelerators (DFA) is also collaborating with the DCAI on this programme. The DFA helps tech startups connect with the government to explore potential use cases of advanced technologies.

The programme aligns with the “Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence”, that aims to position Dubai as the global leader for AI innovation.

Startups looking to participate in this accelerator programme have uptil August 28, 2025 to register. Select firms, after DCAI assessment, would later be invited to Dubai for an eight-week programme slated for October 6 to November 28, 2025. During this time, the startups will be allowed to work alogside government officials.

In the first edition of this accelerator initiative, a total of 615 AI firms reportedly took part from across 55 nations. Over 180 AI use cases were identified at the time, out of which, 75 use cases were reportedly piloted.
