Anthropic could be planning a funding round that raises $10 billion, giving one of the largest AI firms a $350 billion valuation, as per a Reuters report.

The Wall Street Journal was the first to report on the possibility of a fresh funding round for the company.

The update comes after xAI announced its own Series E funding round, in which it raised $20 billion as part of an upsized investment that included strategic investor NVIDIA as one of the backers.

The bullishness that followed the AI sector in 2025 appears to be sticking around in 2026, but most firms are still sticking to the private route and not opting for an IPO. Anthropic, however, could be breaking the mould earlier than most AI firms and carrying out its own IPO this year, as per earlier reports.

If Anthropic secures fresh capital again, it will be following a Series F funding round in September in which it raised $13 billion, giving the firm at the time a $183 billion valuation.

Anthropic was founded in 2021 by founders Dario Amodei and Daniela Amodei and is known for its large family of LLMs referred to as Claude.
