Anthropic opens offices in Paris, Munich as part of Europe expansion

AI startup Anthropic has opened offices in European cities Paris and Munich as part of a European expansion, as per an official press release. 

The update follows the company’s opening of offices in Japan, Seoul, and Bangalore. In Europe, Anthropic already has a presence in London, Dublin, and Zurich. 

“Europe is home to some of the world’s most important and forward-thinking companies,” said Anthropic Managing Director Chris Ciauri. 

According to Reuters, Anthropic was founded in 2021, and its latest valuation was $183 billion. It is backed by Alphabet and Amazon and was formed by former OpenAI employees. 

It is known for its Claude family of AI products, which have functionality across multiple use cases, such as chat, agents, and coding. 

The company statement says Anthropic now has offices in 12 cities.
