- Cardano blockchain’s has now officially marked its governmental integration in India
- Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, has acknowledged the development
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson lauded an India-focussed development this week, after a forensic management system (FMS) created for Uttar Pradesh state police went officially live on the Cardano mainnet.
Despite India’s skeptical stance around crypto acceptance, the country has showed a continuous interest in exploring the blockchain technology. Earlier this year, the police unit of the state of Uttar Pradesh (UP) decided to tap into a blockchain solution for forensic management system — looking to safeguard crucial evidences against tampering.
At the time, the UP police had partnered Hyderabad-based blockchain firm Trivolve Tech to create a system. This week, Trivolve announced that the FMS was ready and made live on Cardano.

Marking the development, the official handle of Trivolve on X said, “We had the honour to meet Honourable IPS Rohan P. Kanay, DIG of UP Police on this remarkable occasion. We thank our Cardano people for all the support.”
Hoskinson re-shared Trivolve’s post on X.
“Looks like I’m going to India,” he posted. noted.
The FMS is projected to process over 10,000 forensic transmissions in the first month itself, the blockchain-firm noted.
Up until now, India has relied on Web2-based traditional evidence management systems. These infrastructures have been largely susceptible to vulnerabilities — including corruption, loss of records, and alteration of information.
With blockchain, these issues could be tackled given that immutability and permanent data storage are among the technology’s key attributes.
Trivolve’s deal with the UP police is an official government contract — which marks Cardano blockchain’s first governmental integration in India. In the future, this FMS is likely to be put to use by other state police units as well.
“This is just the start, and we definitely are going to bring more value to Cardano in the upcoming days,” Trivolve noted.
Back in 2022, the police unit of UP’s Firozabad district had partnered the Polygon blockchain to launch a new complaint forum to enable locals to lodge unalterable complaints onto the system.
In December 2024, India’s IT Ministry unveiled the Vishvasya Blockchain Technology Stack to enable government-backed developers to explore blockchain-based solutions around verification of apps and services.
