A widespread internet disruption on Tuesday left users unable to access major cryptocurrency websites and several social platforms after Cloudflare reported an “internal service degradation.” The network services provider, which underpins a significant portion of global web infrastructure, confirmed the issue affected front-end access to numerous sites.
In a system status update, Cloudflare disclosed that it detected the incident at 11:48 am UTC and later deployed a fix. “We believe the incident is now resolved,” the company said, adding that it will continue monitoring systems to ensure full recovery.

Crypto exchanges and web tools among the hardest hit
The outage prevented many users from loading websites such as Coinbase, Blockchain.com, Ledger, BitMEX, Toncoin, Arbiscan and DefiLlama. Social media platforms including X and Truth Social also experienced accessibility issues.
Several firms, including Kraken, communicated early that a fix had been implemented, and many services gradually returned online afterward. The disruption primarily impacted website interfaces, causing front-end loading failures rather than back-end system compromises.
Not all platforms were affected
Despite the widespread impact, some major platforms remained stable throughout the incident. Services like BlueSky and Reddit appeared unaffected, with no reported downtime linked to Cloudflare’s network issues.
