National flag carrier Emirates has posted record earnings specifically in profit for the first six months of the year, as per an official press release.
Profit went up by 17% from the same period last year to $3.3 billion, while revenue rose by 4% to $20.6 billion. The statement says there was sustained travel demand and a higher preference for premium cabins.
After income tax, the company’s profits were fixed at $2.9 billion, up by 13%. Emirates’ cash position was also noted at a record level of $15.2 billion. It has drawn upon its own cash reserves for funding new aircraft and for servicing debt.
“The Group has once again delivered an outstanding performance, surpassing our half-year results of last year to achieve a new record profit for H1 2025-26. I’m delighted to note that Emirates maintains its position as the world’s most profitable airline for this half-year reporting period,” said CEO and chairman His Highness (HH) Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
“This performance was primarily driven by the unflagging demand and growing customer preference for our product and services, which drove revenue growth and profitability,”
Alongside Eithad Airways, and Qatar Airways, Emirates has been viewed as the definition of premium air travel. It has signed multiple partnerships for improved brand visibility, including sponsorship deals with sports teams F.C. Bayern and Real Madrid Basketball.
