Set to end on October 15th, Expand North Star has attracted a total of 40 unicorns with a combined valuation of $900 billion, as per an official press release by the Government of Dubai’s Media Office.

The update comes as droves of startup founders continue to gather in Dubai Harbor, with prospective companies looking for plenty of funding.

The unicorns in question are focused on multiple sectors, including AI which has been featured quite heavily in the event alongside sectors such as fintech and blockchain.

Andrew Feldman, who is the CEO and Co-Founder of Cerebras Systems, an AI company that has a value of $8.1 billion, has said it has a massive presence in the UAE and they’ve already set up and will continue to expand over the next year, with the event providing them with an extraordinary place to do business.

North Star began on Sunday, and startups from many countries have a presence in the conference, especially those from Ecuador, Brazil, Poland, and India.
