Tech company Google has released an updated version of Gemini 3.1 pro, a new model that it says is capable of much better logical reasoning compared to its previous iterations, as per an official announcement on Thursday.
The update comes as all tech firms are hands-on in adding as many AI-focused updates as they can to their products and services, and in some cases, stacking them on top of their core offerings.
“Building on the Gemini 3 series, 3.1 Pro represents a step forward in core reasoning. 3.1 Pro is a smarter, more capable baseline for complex problem-solving. This is reflected in our progress on rigorous benchmarks.” read the official statement.
“On ARC-AGI-2, a benchmark that evaluates a model’s ability to solve entirely new logic patterns, 3.1 Pro achieved a verified score of 77.1%. This is more than double the reasoning performance of 3 Pro.”
The new pro model also comes a week after Google rolled out an update to Gemini 3 Deep Think.
While minor compared to its presence in search engine, advertising, and cloud technology, Google’s AI division is now featured alongside its core offerings in Alphabet’s earning reports.
At the time of writing, Alphabet shares were trading at $303.56.
