Elon Musk’s controversial AI chatbot, Grok, is officially foraying into the prediction markets arena. The billionaire tech mogul announced that Grok’s parent firm xAI has teamed up with predictions market platform Kalshi on Thursday, May 24. This announcement comes at a time when Grok has been facing legal challenges in various parts of the world for generating racially and politically controversial content while engaging with users.
The partnership between Grok and Kalshi has become effective immediately, the official X handle of Musk’s AI firm @xAI told its 1.7 million followers.
“Two of the fastest growing companies in America are now on the same team,” the announcement said.

xAI also shared a video outlining how Grok’s integration with Kalshi would generate AI summaries around topics trending on the prediction markets.
Founded in 2018 by MIT alums, Tarek Mansour and Luana Lopes Lara, Kalshi is a Manhattan-based regulated exchange that also acts as a predictions market platform. It allows users to bid on political, financial, and social predictions. It also lets users predict the price movements of BTC and the stance on evolving crypto regulations among other related topics.
Grok’s integration with Kalshi brings the AI chatbot to the forefront of generating predictions around crypto and stocks trading in real time, analyzing market conditions.
In recent months, the foray of AI chatbots into similar partnerships has become the new trend. Recently, for instance, Perplexity AI announced a collaboration with Coinbase to help users access trusted crypto-related information.
Earlier this month, speculations of Grok entering into a similar partnership with Binance had also made it to the headlines. Last week, Binance playfully engaged with a post of Musk praising Grok’s achievements in international markets.
