Leading investment firm Dubai Investments has reported a strong year-on-year growth for its glass manufacturing portfolio, with ownership consolidated under Glass LLC. Total production crossed 14.8 million square meters in 2024. Glass LLC is comprised of three core companies: Emirates Glass (EG), Emirates Float Glass (EFG), and Saudi American Glass (SAG).

“The glass sector is a cornerstone of Dubai Investments’ industrial platform—driving significant growth and reinforcing the Group’s leadership in the GCC’s high-performance materials market,” said Building Materials Platform CEO Abdulaziz Bin Yagub Al Serkal at Dubai Investments. He believes that the Investment firm’s Glass division is well positioned to take advantage of the emerging mega projects in the region

Looking back at the numbers, Emirates Float Glass (EFG) delivered over 12.6 million square metres of glass in 2024. As part of its offerings, Emirates Float Glass distributes Clear Glass, Body Tinted Glass, and Reflective Glass. It is the only ICV-certified glass manufacturer in the UAE.

Emirates Glass (EG) on the other hand, delivered over 1.3 million square metres, an 8% year-on-year increase. To achieve growth in line with the aim of growing market cap, Emirates Glass increased Bullet Resistant Glass production by 15% and launched a fire-rated glass product. Emirates Glass also created a high-precision Digital Glass printing unit, which is to be used for customized architectural solutions.

Finally, Saudi American Glass declared a 13% year-on-year increase with production of 927,000 square metres, the company’s highest annual output so far. Saudi American Glass’s growth was primarily driven by a surge in demand for its digitally printed architectural glass, increasing production by 48%. The company’s surge in performance also comes from critical support from a new brand under Saudi American Glass—Elite Vitrage.

The companies under Glass LLC claim to export to over 35 countries. Both Emirates Glass and Saudi Arabian Glass are benefiting from consistent demand for double-glazed, laminated, and custom-coated units. On the other hand, Emirates Float Glass is a critical company in the region’s supply chain, especially when it comes to providing advanced float glass facilities.

Created in 1995, Dubai Investments is a leading investment firm in the UAE with 15,956 shareholders. The investment group has paid-up capital of AED 4.25 billion and total assets of AED 22 billion. Dubai Investments drives growth across sectors such as real estate, manufacturing, healthcare, education, investments, and services. The company laid the foundation in April 2024 for residential and hotel complexes on Marjan Island for a project that spanned 90,000 square meters, including 40,000 square meters in beaches and 189 villas, according to Forbes.
