Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has sold $666 million worth of Amazon stock in July, as per a regulatory filing. Bezos sold a total of nearly 3 million shares on two separate days– 927,863 shares on July 3rd and 2,046,582 shares on July 7th. The transaction is part of a long-term planned sale, which will see Bezos divest a total of 25 million shares by May 2026.

The filing disclosed that Jeff Bezos owns a total of 902,480,530 shares, making him the largest shareholder of Amazon stock. He previously sold shares in late June for approximately $736 million.

The update comes after his star-studded wedding on June 27 with former journalist Lauren Sanchez, which saw personalities in attendance like Tom Brady, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ivanka Trump, Oprah Winfrey, Tommy Hilfiger, and Usher.

Members of the Kardashian family were also present, including Khloe Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, and Kris Jenner. The ceremony took place in Venice, Italy, and initial cost estimates for the wedding were in the range of $47-$56 million, as per a CNBC report

Jeff Bezos founded Amazon in 1994 initially as an online marketplace for books, later expanding to more product offerings. He is still the chairman of the company, having previously stepped down as CEO in 2021.
