Pietro Beccari is now officially appointed CEO and Chairman of LVMH’s fashion division—a prominent subsidiary that oversees brands such as Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Fendi, Loro Piano, Marc Jacobs, and other iconic names in fashion, as per an official press release on Tuesday.

Beccari prior to the appointment was the CEO and chairman of Louis Vuitton, will be taking on a larger portfolio of brands by joining both leadership roles.

He will be taking over from Sidney Toledano who was first appointed CEO of LVMH’s fashion group in 2018, before which he was the CEO of Dior from 1998. Toledano will stay on as special advisor.

“After a rich decade of leading Dior and Louis Vuitton, I am delighted that Pietro Beccari has also agreed to bring his expertise to the LVMH Fashion Group Maisons. Pietro is a great leader and a unique talent with boundless energy. He knows how to surround himself with talent and develop them to prepare the future of the Maisons,” said LVMH Group CEO and Chairman Bernard Arnault.

As part of the reorganization, Louis Vuitton’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer Damien Bertrand will also be changing roles to a position on the LVMH executive committee—a board which includes Bernard Arnault, Stephane Bianchi, Pietro Beccari, Delphine Arnault, Cecile Cabanis, and Jean Jacques Guiony.

The leadership changes are expected to take effect by January 1st, 2026.

At the time of writing, LVMH stock was trading at 640.90 euros, up by 0.58%.

Bernard Arnault remains Chairman of LVMH group with retirement extended to 85

Bernard Arnault continues to occupy the role of Chairman and CEO of the LVMH Group, a conglomerate that oversees more than 70 luxury brands in the global market—a position he has held since 1989.

Arnault—who is now 76 years old—was allowed to extend the maximum retirement age in 2022 through a shareholder vote to 80, a provision that gives him a longer tenure.

Earlier this year in April, LVMH shareholders were asked again to vote to extend the retirement age to 85, another decision that also received majority approval.

According to Forbes, his net worth is $192 billion, making him the seventh richest person in the world. He now remains behind tech billionaires such as Larry Ellison, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Larry Page. In early 2024, he crossed the net worth of Elon Musk, becoming the richest person in the world.
