Bitcoin treasury firm Strategy now holds a total of 712,647 BTC, after disclosing a purchase of 2,932 BTC in an 8k filing on Monday. The purchase was made for an average purchase price of $90,061 per BTC, representing a total purchase amount of $264.1 million.

The update comes after the MSCI decided that it would not be excluding BTC treasury firms from its indices, a beacon of relief for a sector that was facing a potential risk of being delisted from a globally-benchmarked index.

The latest purchase marks a slowdown from its previous large-sized purchase of 22,305 BTC, but a continuation of its consistent buying activity in 2025.

At the time of writing, MSTR shares were priced at $163.11. Currently, Strategy has four lines of preferred stock open, with speculation as to how the company plans to compensate investors in the case of a liquidation, who have placed considerable money with the firm.
