UAE’s capital emirate announced recently that it has grown its smart inspection fleet to include 27 new AI-powered vehicles, as the government continues to integrate AI into its various services.
The update comes after Dubai International Airport decided to create an AI-powered corridor last year to help speed up immigration times for flying passengers, with plans to expand it as well.
Abu Dhabi rolled out multiple initiatives last year to improve technology
The country has been active in using AI across key government services in an effort to improve its technology.
Key initiatives launched by the capital last year include 500 AI-powered cleaning vehicles by Abu Dhabi’s DMT last year and an AI-driven metering ramp at major entry points in the emirate to help tackle congestion as the UAE’s population continues to rise.
According to Gulf News, Abu Dhabi’s municipality said the new fleet was equipped with advanced cameras, detection systems, and analysis tools. They also come with integrated systems such as GIS, Smart Hub, and UIS.
The new monitoring system helps to access hard-to-access areas and high-risk locations, while also reducing the need to manually inspect certain places.
This means the vehicles are able to carry out their inspections without human effort, allowing them to sound real-time data to teams for analysis and monitoring.
