These models will help power future Apple Intelligence features, including a more personalized Siri coming this year,” read the statement
While Apple will be leaning on Google for its AI software, it will still be running its trademark Apple intelligence across all Apple devices.
Efforts to get the best AI software and tech continue to ramp up, especially between the magnificent seven in technology.
At the time of writing, Google and Apple’s stocks were trading at $331.06 and $260.78, respectively.
Apple is widely considered to be the laggard in the AI race, due to its lack of clear vision or strategy for growing its stake in the sector, instead choosing to focus on its core segment of smartphone devices and wearables.
It lags most noticeably behind Google and NVIDIA, both of which have multiple products or at least test versions of products in AI software, chips, data centre infrastructure, and AI LLMs.
