Stablecoin company Tether and video platform company Rumble have collaborated to launch a new wallet, as per an official press release. The new Rumble wallet is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet that can be accessed directly within the Rumble platform.
“At Tether, we champion technologies that break boundaries and promote freedom, decentralization, and the fundamental right to free expression. Rumble Wallet brings those ideals together into one product that will give tens of millions of users more control than any platform has offered before, even in the United States,” said Tether’s CEO Paolo Ardoino.
The collaboration is actually to be between three parties: Tether, Rumble, and MoonPay.
With the new integration, Rumble now allows streamers to be tipped in BTC.
This is not the first time Tether and Rumble have come together for collaboration. Earlier in November last year, Tether agreed to spend $100 million in advertising on Rumble, as per an earlier press release.
Currently, the new wallet will support Tether’s USDT, Tether Gold’s XAUt, and Bitcoin (BTC), which will allow audiences to tip in cryptocurrency.
Crypto payments firm MoonPay will be powering all on-ramps and off-ramps for users of the wallet.
Rumble’s CEO Chris Pavlovski also put out an X post about the collaboration, saying that Rumble wallet will be competing against Coinbase and Venmo.
